SECONDARY SCIENCE EDUCATION
TEACHING INSTRUCTOR
ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

The Department of Mathematics, Science, and Instructional Technology Education is seeking applications and nominations for a nine-month, full-time, fixed-term faculty position in the College of Education, East Carolina University, to begin August 12, 2013. Rank/Salary: Commensurate with qualifications.

Responsibilities will include teaching multiple sections of graduate and/or undergraduate science education courses; curriculum development and planning with other faculty; attending curricular meetings in the secondary education program; assisting other faculty with recruitment and retention; supervising teacher research projects for online degree programs; and, evaluation of science degrees and concentration programs. Provide service to the university, community, and profession.

Requires: Master’s degree in Science Education or Related Field, with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in science education for the teaching instructor; requires appropriate doctorate degree for teaching assistant/associate professor; demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and leadership in science education; and North Carolina teaching license or eligibility for licensure.

Strong preference given to candidates with PhD/EdD in Science Education; three or more years teaching secondary science; experience designing, teaching, and evaluating online courses; experience advising graduate students; active participation in professional organizations, such as NARST, ASTE, and NSTA. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions and conferred by the time of hire.

Job In AT&T Sr Specialist RAN Engineer- | Bloomington, MN July 2012

At AT&T, our Chief Technology Office (CTO) is the embodiment of innovation. We're responsible for developing, designing, planning and building AT&T's wireless and wired networks - including the nation's fastest 3G wireless network, our groundbreaking U-verse network and one of the world's largest and most advanced IP backbone.


Looking for a mid level RF engineer with strong technical skills with a good understanding of RAN Engineering. This person should be proficient in RF Propagation Theory, Link Budget Analysis, RF Plumbing options, Antenna patterns, and wireless Hardware and software integrations. Will need understanding of morphology, topology, traffic patterns and cell planning. The primary responsibilities include new site design on GSM, UMTS and LTE with a good understanding of RF shaping to maximize coverage and capacity. Create RFDS and RF plumbing to integrate different solutions. Perform site visits, candidate selection, design review and approval, support zoning requirements for site approval, leading up to site activation and RF acceptance. 


Additional Responsibilities


This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T's compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.

• 3-5 years of progressive successful development as an engineer. 


• Ability to analyze moderately complete data and complex issues.


• 1-3 years of experience with Network architecture (3GPP Air interface, standards, technology and evolution, etc.)
