Dade Medical College is seeking qualified individuals to become full-time and part-time faculty members. Most full time faculty members work a five (5) day work week, Monday through Friday. We are looking for Ultrasound Instructors.


The Ultrasound Instructor will be responsible for the effective communication of course related information to students, utilizing diverse and participative instructional strategies. Must adhere to the standardized curriculum and lesson plans, inspire and motivate students by effective role modeling. Must be sensitive to student needs and have the ability to identify appropriate resources to support student successes and achievement.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


-Prepares and plans adequately for effective classroom, laboratory or clinical instruction, ensuring that the lesson plan and presentation strategies are well prepared, the learning environment is optimal, and the instructional materials are in proper working order.

-Follows the standardized curriculum, focusing on the unit objectives or laboratory proficiencies; communicates appropriately with the program director regarding any curriculum or lesson plan.

-Demonstrates appropriate presentation/speaking skills including the introduction of a wide diversity of instructional strategies encouraging active student participation.

-Demonstrates appropriate use of written reference materials as well as audiovisual and other instructional aids.

-Utilizes diverse questioning strategies to determine depth and range of student understanding.

-Ensures that the learning environment is maintained in a neat and orderly manner, and that all equipment is cleaned and returned to its appropriate storage position following use.

-Maintains administrative records in a well-organized, accurate and timely manner, including attendance, academic proficiency evaluations, curriculum, etc.

We currently have a position for a Designer in our Advanced Technology Studio in Los Angeles. Working with leading design and build teams on prominent commercial building projects, this position involves the concept and design development of advanced building façade and enclosure solutions, including structural glass facades; cable trusses, cable nets, grid shells, exposed truss systems, and glass structures. Structural design is a key component of the work, but prominent considerations span the full gamut of aesthetic and performance issues, which include thermal, acoustical, energy and sustainability. Responsibilities

Create innovative design solutions for building envelopes and advanced facades

Respond to architectural intent and specifications with a responsive base bid solution, and alternate original concepts

Compellingly communicate design in varied formats (sketches, 2D and 3D graphic layouts, narratives, simulations, animations, mockups, samples, posters, movies, etc…)
