Computer Department Clerk - Ferguson Library, Stamford. Part Time up to 20 hrs/week. Salary Range: Hourly rate of pay dependent on qualifications and experience. Job Description: The Computer Services Assistant primary function is to set up and monitor AV equipment used for library programs. The assistant will set up projectors and microphones and stay for the program to provide technical assistance. Additional duties involve providing general clerical assistance for the Computer Services department. Those duties consist primarily of scanning materials for inclusion on the library digital archives site; data entry; and assisting in maintaining materials on the shelves. Duties Include: 1. Setting up and storing audio visual and computer equipment used in library programs. 2. Troubleshooting audio visual equipment problems. 3. Providing general clerical assistance for the computer services department. Duties may include scanning documents and photos; entering data; tracking down materials on shelves. Qualiftcations: Familiarity with setting up microphones, projectors and sundry audio visual equipment; Attention to detail; High school diploma required, college preferred; A high degree of skill at learning and adapting to new or changed technologies; Ability to multi-task; Business operations experienced desirable; Meticulous attention to detail and proficiency with Word and Excel. Part-Time Library Clerk - Prospect Library

Part-Time Library Clerk - Prospect Library is seeking a part-time library clerk to work at its circulation desk for 20 hours per week. Will require working Saturday hours from September thru June (5.5hrs per Saturday) and regular day and evening hours during the week. Clerk may occasionally be offered substitute hours to fill in for vacationing staff. Salary is $9.88 per hour. No benefits. The successful candidate should be able to meet the public courteously and perform a wide variety of library tasks. Besides circulation duties, clerk will work closely with children’s librarian to supervise children during story times, and prepares supplies and community room for children’s events and other programs.
