Executive Coordinator Collection Coordination and Conservation 

EAZA, the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria, represents and links more than 346 zoos, aquariums, national federations and other organisations in 41 countries. In addition to furthering the professional standards of our members with regard to the care and accommodation of the animals kept in their collections, EAZA also facilitates cooperation in our key mission areas of conservation, education and research. More than 140 million people visit EAZA members each year. EAZA runs some 380 conservation breeding programmes that are overseen by 41 EAZA Taxon Advisory Groups (TAGs).

The EAZA Executive Office is based at Artis Zoo, Amsterdam. A staff of twelve people, plus two others located off-site, is responsible for the day to day running of the association with activities divided across two departments: Communications & Membership and Collection Coordination & Conservation.

The Executive Coordinator, Collection Coordination and Conservation, is responsible for coordination of the EAZA Conservation Database, liaison and support for a portion of EAZA’s TAGs, EEPs and ESBs. She/he will report directly to the Assistant Manager for Collecection Coordination and Conservation and will work closely with departmental colleagues, including the existing Executive Coordinator position. She/he will also work closely with the Conservation Committee, Reintroduction and Translocations Working Group via the committee liaisons in the Executive Office.
