Job Description
Our client is looking for the right candidate to be able to support their operations in Kabul, Afghanistan. The post is for a period of twelve months but may be extended by mutual agreement, the current contract being in place until October 2017.
An immediate deployment is required.
Job Summary:
The Risk Analyst will be a member of the EU Afghanistan Security Cell (the Cell) reporting to the Regional Security Officer (RSO). Other members of the Cell are the Mission Security Officer (MSO) and the Private
Security Contractor’s International Security Manager (ISM).
Responsibilities of the Risk Analyst include the preparation and distribution in accordance with the RSO’s direction of the following:
incident-based security and travel advisories
daily and weekly security situation analysis briefing papers.
security incident background papers and long term assessments, forecasts of the upcoming security situation, events or actions that may affect the safety and security off EU staff and assets within the mission area and to liaise closely with other members of the Cell in the planning and preparation of security procedures, plans or briefs to meet such threats.
In addition, the Risk Analyst will:
be the focal point within the Cell of all security related intelligence information
maintain and update Security Information Analysis reference sources
identify and liaise with appropriate Diplomatic/Police/Military & National Security information focal points.
conduct risk analysis and threat assessments together with historical and incident spot mapping material.
ensure the quick dissemination of security related information, after approval of the Security Cell.
Terms & Conditions.
Daily Rate: €327 will be paid whilst in Afghanistan.
The company will pay an allowance of €1250 to cover the cost of return flights for each authorised leave rotation from Kabul to the destination of the service providers choice.
Leave: The candidate will be entitled to a maximum of one month’s leave after every two months period of service in country. At his / her discretion the period between each two months service in country can be reduced.

Qualifications
University degree in a security related field an/or graduation from a recognised full time EU Police/Military academy
At least 5 years knowledge in security information analysis in a police or military environment within a proven information analysis/intelligence role required.
Demonstrated ability to contribute creatively to the development of security strategies and procedures.
Previous mission experience with an international security organisation/company and knowledge of Afghanistan and larger regional issues is desirable.
Excellent analytical skills.
Experience of classified information and ideally EU Classified Information.
Excellent presentational skills with experience in delivering Power Point and other presentations to large audiences in the English language.
To be in possession of security clearance preferably at the level of EU Secret or other NATO/National equivalent
