Regional Head of Security Latin America ( A Global Insurer)

Location: Americas-Sao Paulo - Brazil

Qualification
Summary:

Senior Group Security position in Latin America; key for managing the region’s security and anti-crime program. The job incumbent is responsible for developing and executing strategy for implementing Group Security work streams in the region as there are: Security Threat Management, Travel Security, Executive and Event Security, Economic Crime Prevention and Detection, Security and Safety Governance, and Security Emergency Management.

In addition, the job incumbent will develop and execute the security strategy for Brazil across all Group Security work streams.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Master’s degree or international equivalent in an area of study relevant to this position and more than 10 years’ experience with a major corporation and/or law enforcement, intelligence or private sector security organization

Certification required: Certified Protection Professional, Certified Fraud Examiner or equivalent (e.g. Professional Certified Investigator, Physical Security Professional)

Knowledge
• General knowledge of insurance business
• Security management: Advanced knowledge of information, personnel and
premises security processes and procedures and ability to develop and
maintain appropriate security levels
• Fraud management: Advanced knowledge of and ability to employ
internal controls and to enhance business strategies for the purpose
of detecting, correcting and preventing fraudulent activities
• Knowledge of crisis management concepts and techniques; ability to
predict, avert, mitigate, and recover from an event that has or could
have a severely negative impact on the business
• Knowledge of risk management processes, tools and techniques for
assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of
various kinds; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to
diverse situations
• Advanced knowledge of and ability to employ required tools,
techniques and technologies to minimize losses due to breaches of
physical premises security
• Advanced knowledge of, and ability to implement, the measures
necessary to safeguard an organization's employees and visitors.
• Knowledge of and the ability to manage the processes, tools,
techniques and practices for assuring adherence to standards
associated with accessing, altering and protecting organizational
data
