K-9 Explosive Dog Handlers and Trainers

Location:Sensitive sites in Afghanistan and Iraq.





Hostile Control Tactics, LLC., is a fourteen year

old security risk management consulting firm

that has supported a wide variety of sensitive

US government projects throughout the world.

Our past performance history includes foreign

internal defense (FID) missions as

demonstrated when we helped rebuild and re-

train the Republic of Liberia Army for the State

Department. We sent disaster relief teams into

the Gulf coast in response to Hurricane

Katrina.

Today, we train, certify and deploy force

protection guards and Personal Security Details

(PSDs) into global hot spots to support US

Department of Defense (DoD), Department of

State (DoS) and United Nations missions

worldwide.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates

for the following job openings:



Compensation: $12,000 up to $14,000 USD

per month (depending on experience)



Specific Tasks

Lead a trained canine in tactical searches to

detect explosive materials and devices at

various sites and facilities.

Additional tasks may include but are not

limited to searches of streets and roadways,

entry/access control points, facilities, building

perimeter, interior of buildings and rooms.

Provide emergency response in situations such

as security alerts, civil disturbances or other

conditions as situations require. Handles own

kennel responsibilities while on his/her shift.

Assure that his/her assigned canine is properly

cared for.





Qualifications Handler:

· Not more than five (5) years of

tactical inactivity in this field.

· Must have at least two (2) years of

canine handling experience.

· Training must be the equivalent of

the US DoD Military Working Dog

(MWD) program or a local, city, state or

federal police K9 handler course.

· Law enforcement officers must have

at least one (1) year experience as a

narcotics, explosives, or special

detection handler.

· Currently qualified or must be

capable of passing firearms testing on

the Glock 19 pistol, M4 carbine and

AK-47 assault rifle.

· Overseas security or peace-keeping

experience is preferred, but not

required.

· Must be comfortable working in a

multi-cultural/multi-racial environment.

· Computer literate with Microsoft

Office programs.

· Physically fit and in good health.

· Able to lift and carry dog





Qualifications of Dog:

· Detection reliability at a minimum

95% rate of accuracy in accordance

with DoD Military Working Dog (MWD)

standards.

· Proof of successful completion of EDD

training program

· Capable of recognizing and detecting

odors common to Iraq and Afghanistan.

· Physically able to conduct searches

for trucks, tractor trailers, etc.

· Will obey instructions on or off-lease

· Trained to disregard artificial

detractors (substances)

· Trained not to paw or retrieve an

explosive or chemical device





Deployment Requirements

· Must be willing to deploy overseas for

extended periodsof six months and up

to one year.

· Subject to a US Government

background investigation.

· No felony criminal offenses or

domestic violence history.

· Must possess a valid travel passport.
