Security Manager

Security Clearance: Secret
Job Summary
Manages and controls administration of the LOGCAP IV security program at a forward operating site.
Principle Accountabilities
Implements and monitors security procedures in accordance with military rules and regulations, the National Industrial Security Operating manual (NISPOM), company policies, procedures and government directives
Monitor the contract performance of the badging & screening cell; provide guidance to the Badging & Screening Cell Supervisor as required
Interfaces with appropriate government and military representatives on force protection, OPSEC, physical security, and other security disciplines.
Reviews and investigates non-compliance security issues; ensure all LOGCAP IV personnel comply with force protection requirements.
Maintains a safe and secure working environment for the company and joint ventures.
Investigates and eliminates unsafe or unethical security practices.
Implement policies and strategies for security, including by not limited to internal investigations, personnel management and Operational Security (OPSEC).
Coordinate ongoing review of existing security programs; provide input to Area Security Manager for recommended changes.
Maintains close communication with management and respond to requests for support.
Provides physical audits of site based on developed standards, and provides recommendations based on findings.
Provides written documentation upon completion of reviews.
Provides consulting support and makes recommendations to site management regarding appropriate timely and necessary improvements or in implementing contractual requirements.
Provides advice and counsel on security matter.
Deploys to site in order to manage security phase in porting on newly awarded contracts.
Meets with security counterparts and address security concerns in implementing contractual requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
Demonstrate proficiency with industrial security laws
Knowledge of Electronic person Security Questionnaire (EPSQ) and Distributes INFOSEC Accounting System (DIAS)
Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in utilizing the internet
Knowledge of various computer software systems ( PeopleSoft, Microsoft Office)
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline.
Two (2) years experience in Security field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.
Typically eight (8) years experience working in security environment.
Prefer at least three (3) in a supervisory role.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
Travel
Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
