Job Description Purpose
Provide security presence and maintain a heightened level of Security.
Positions Reporting to this Function: None
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for providing observation security and force protection support IAW the PWS.
2. Depending on gender requirements, must be able to enter the billeting areas and latrines to ensure a
Safe and worry free work and living environment.
3. Responds and reports alarms, suspicious activities, and violators in accordance with established procedures and policy.
4. Assists in force protection operations throughout security force areas of operation as directed.
5. Remains vigilant and takes all reasonable measures to protect life and property and reports all information in a timely manner.
6. Reports any loss, damage or destruction of Government or Company property to the Security
Operations Supervisor.
7. Maintains logs and journals.
8. Controls access of vehicles and pedestrians. Ensures all vehicles entering AMC compounds are in safety compliance, i.e. ground guides, hard hats, safety glasses, and seatbelts being worn when applicable.
9. Checks identifications and authorizations granting entrance to persons and vehicles with proper authority and denying entrance to those unauthorized.
10. Provides directions and other information to visitors and maintains records of entrances and departures of visitors.
11. Alerts supervisors of apparent security violations.
12. Guards a broad range of highly sensitive items applying stringent securitymeasures and procedures.
13. Protects items from fire, theft, sabotage, loss, damage and destruction.
14. Inspects cargo on arriving commercial vehicles and ensures visitors have required escorts.
14. Checks buildings and gates to ensure they are secured.
16. Reports fire, accidents, and hazards to supervisors and renders first aid when appropriate. Directs personnel to leave areas of fires and other dangers.
17. Uses necessary force for personal and employee defense.
18. Performs roving guard duties to ensure buildings are secure and light sets and lighting is adequate.
Special attention in providing security is mandatory when patrolling around billeting and female latrine areas.
19. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
a) High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
a) 2-3 years of civilian or military security or law enforcement experience required.

Specialized knowledge and skills:
a) Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance prior to start date.
b) Must be able successfully complete the security guard training conducted by the Security
Directorate Training Office.
c) Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and communicate with others effectively.
d) Must have the ability to speak and write effectively and to evaluate written and oral reports.
e) Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other officials and general public.
f) Must have the ability to work in multicultural, international environment.
g) Must speak English when communicating with military members, DOD and DA civilians, and AC FIRST employees while on duty and during radio communications.
h) Driver’s license is required.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
a) Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively during a 77 hour work week. b) Must be able to lift 25 Lbs. continuously, 50 Lbs intermittently.
c) Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures. d) Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
e) This position can be expected to require long hours of foot patrolling.
