Security Manager , Canada

Job Description Manage, oversee and direct the physical and technical security programs at the Boucherville, Quebec Sandoz site to insure consistency (in security processes and standards) across the business and in coordination with Sandoz and Novartis Corporate Security (USCO). Ensure the delivery of high quality, cost effective security services for the protection of Company assets including its reputation, proprietary and confidential information, financial resources, property and employees from unlawful use, loss and/or damage.

Summary of tasks:
-Manage the physical and technical security programs within the Sandoz/Canada (Boucherville, QC) business in a proactive and consistent manner and in coordination with key vendors (contract security provider and technical security companies) and the Sandoz and USCO security organizations;
-Responsible for overall operation of the CCTV, card access (Prowatch), security alarms, fire panels, etc. to the appropriate standard and in accordance with instructions;
-Direct the contract security guard force in the performance of its duties, ensure contract security compliance with the terms and conditions of the Contract for Service, and establish the appropriate security policies, procedures and KPI's specific to the site;
-Interact with employees inside and outside of the Security Department, public safety agencies, and upper management to continuously monitor and address security and safety related issues and make recommendations for improvement of operations within the Security Department and to other Company departments;
-Ensures that security related incidents are reported to the NPC Security Operations Center, properly documented and appropriate resources are notified. On occasion, and as required, assist Investigations on issues and problems in a wide variety of areas including tampering, diversion, drug control, losses in transit, etc;
-Participate in the planning and execution of department projects as well as the implementation of new services in accordance with the needs and objectives of the Department and Company;
-Actively participate to the Novartis Emergency Management (NEM) when required as well as the local Health & Safety Committee.

Minimum requirements Collegial diploma (DEC);
Good communication skills in French and English (oral and written);
5 to 8 years of experience with background in security management and a general knowledge in technical security relating to intrusion, life safety, and environmental alarms.
