Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institute or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience with UI/UX design and development

This person will become a key contributor to our Technical Software Operations group for the sole purpose of deploying and enhancing new software functionalities and technologies for use in supporting our client.

The Connecture Java Developer/Analyst’s primary responsibility will be supporting the success of project implementations, including transition to customer support. Connecture Java Developer/Analyst works closely with other members of the technical software operations team to deliver high quality web-based solutions for our client. This key role must have prior knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies including: client requirements gathering, design specifications, solution development and testing of client applications, client support, training, and systems integration.

Responsibilities:

Enhancing all advanced aspects of presentation-tier and middle-tier web applications using Java and J2EE in the WebWork framework.
Perform various coding and programming tasks, such as design or development of Web front-end, back-end Web-based applications, and Web/Internet services.
May involve coding and integration of text, graphics, sound, and/or video.
Facilitate requirements and fit/gap workshops with other technical staff on technical topics and non-functional requirements.
Create functional and technical designs for Connecture extensions and configurations, such as workflow and/or rules.
Code/unit test Connecture extensions in a J2EE environment.
Investigate and resolve situations where actual test results do not match expected test results.
Work closely, establish and maintain positive working relationships with client, partners, and fellow staff on matters related to the technical architecture.

Qualifications:

Contractor shall furnish information technology support services to facilitate agency requests for development on projects across multiple agencies. The immediate need/request will be associated with the development of the Employee Group Insurance (EGI) Solution. The nature of work sought under this task order consists of contractor resources required for the design, development and implementation of the system leveraging the Google Application Engine (GAE) Platform and Java.

The project is also consists of conversion of legacy system data into a Microsoft SQL Server 2012 database that is hosted external to the GAE. This work will be accomplished using the Agile Scrum methodology. The contractor resources will use system engineering practices and approaches to leverage this agile framework to help ensure successful software implementation of the EGI solution including defining backlogs, sprint planning, sprint execution, daily scrums, sprint review and sprint retrospective. The EGI solution will use and store confidential and private data.

The system will be compliant with numerous Federal privacy regulations including the Affordable Care Act and HITECH as well as State of Wyoming regulations. The contractor resources should have a thorough understanding of building security into a solution as well as adherence to state change management processes.

Specific Deliverables Resource will be Accountable for:

The specific resources will be accountable for the following deliverables:

• Sprint Overview Report (1 per sprint)
• Sprint Code Drop with Build Report and Release Plan (1 per sprint)
