The Department of Physics at Boise State University seeks an observational astronomer with a strong interest and demonstrated experience in public outreach and science education for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, starting August 2014. A B.S. degree in Physics and a Ph.D. degree in astronomy or astronomy education are strongly preferred. The successful candidate must be able to develop an externally funded program of research in observational astronomy that engages undergraduates, demonstrate a passion for undergraduate education and public outreach, and possess excellent spoken and written communication skills.
