Electrical Revit Designer - WSP Flack + Kurtz - Seattle

WSP Flack + Kurtz has this Revit position in their Seattle, Washington office.


They are a consulting engineering firm for the built environment. They are looking for individuals with Revit experience using Revit MEP on large retail, commercial, and residential projects (50,000 sf+).

Description:
Electrical Revit Designer: 2+ years experience in Revit MEP focused on electrical design; 5+ years experience in AutoCAD focused on electrical design and drafting; 2 or 4-year college degree a plus. This individual will spend the majority of their time perform electrical design in large, complex Revit models, but will also be asked to perform CAD Operator functions in AutoCAD. We expect that as Revit grows in the Architect/Engineer community that this position will eventually be working solely in Revit.

Local candidates are preferred (IE: Puget Sound region). WSP Flack + Kurtz uses E-verify by the USCIS to verify that new hires are authorized to work in the United States.

Integrated Construction Manager (IC) - WA

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Integrated Construction Manager (IC Manager) to assist us with our continued growth and success.

The IC Manager is responsible for providing input and leadership to the design and/or virtual design and construction process. Understands technical and planning attributes of specific building types. Provides meaningful input to the project’s programming and conceptual design activities. Coordinates design team members and Preconstruction services (i.e. estimating, scheduling, project planning, constructability, site utilization, etc.). When necessary, manages the integrated delivery team’s resources. Oversees the preparation of models for facilities management.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of construction processes
  • Facilitator of project collaboration and integrated delivery activities
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Moderate experience with and demonstrated knowledge of construction costs and financial risks
  • Strong understanding of the things that impact cost
  • Demonstrated basic understanding of A/E business and client’s business interest.
  • Experience managing people and processes
  • Familiar with contract language – construction and A/E

  • Basic Responsibilities
  • Oversees the production and management of 3D models
  • Establishes the scope of work for projects
  • Establishes the schedule and deliverables for integrated delivery services
  • Oversees construction coordination
  • Communicates model generated information to project team
  • Implements 3D technology during construction
  • Participates in the research and development of new technologies
  • Internal training
  • Develops project BIM models
  • Attends, participates and presents at conferences
  • Manages others
  • Business Development support
  • May lead the Operating Group Integrated Construction team

  • Minimum Software proficiencies
  • High level of competency with advanced software. (2D and 3D AutoCAD minimum)
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Architectural Desktop (ADT), Autodesk Building Systems (ABS), Autodesk Revit or Graphisoft Constructor preferred


  • Additional Software proficiencies
  • Navisworks, Primavera, and 3DS Max or Viz.
  • Animation experience a plus


  • Education
    Bachelor’s degree or higher education from an accredited college or university in the team member’s professional field (Architecture, Engineering, and/or Construction Management). A minimum of 8 years of progressively more challenging commercial construction management experience or equivalent combining education and experience. Licensure in professional field is recommended.
