Application Specialist - IDEATE - AEC

Ideate is Growing and looking for talented people.  Duties include training/consulting/and technical support for Autodesk's line of software. Background must include experience in the architectural, engineering, interiors, or construction professions utilizing AutoCAD, AutoCAD for Architects, Navisworks, and/or Revit Architecture/Revit Structure. Ideate’s focus is to find team members who know the architectural/engineering/construction profession very well with knowledge of the software, and presentation skills. The job also requires excellent writing, analysis, and verbal skills.


Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Provides technical product assistance to both inside and outside sales representatives in the development and closing of sales opportunities.

  • Develops and conducts professional product presentations and demonstrations in small and large forums to generate sales and meet revenue objectives.
  • Remain up to date with technical knowledge on the entire product line.
  • Present products as advantages and benefits for customer’s needs.
  • Customize company-standard technical demos to specifically address customer needs.
  • In conjunction with sales team activities, proactively follow up with customer technical lead to provide additional information or answer specific technical questions.
  • Play a key role in further developing current accounts by identifying complete software/consulting solutions to meet additional unrealized customer needs.
  • Develop and implements pre- and post- sales detailed service products.
  • Instruct training classes in Autodesk products (AutoCAD, Navisworks, and vertical products (Revit)).
  • Support the success of customers by delivering technical training and product updates.
  • Partner with sales team to gain in-depth customer knowledge to increase product and services sales.
  • Provide technical presentations at events, user groups, customer sites, and over the internet.
Requirements:
  • BS in Architecture or Engineering with 2+ years practical experience, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the Autodesk software product line
  • Experience in Ecotect a plus
  • Knowledge of software industry and the competitive posture of the company a plus
  • Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and support to key customer accounts a plus
  • Ability to identify, and quantify, customer needs and new business opportunities
  • Ability to translate customer needs into product features.
  • Ability to establish and build healthy working relationships with partners, clients, vendors and peers
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Excellent written communication skill

  • Excellent at managing multiple projects.  Show demonstrated project management experience.
 Additional Requirements:

Must be willing and able to travel as required to achieve objectives (specifically travel may be up to 2 trips per month (3-4 days each)). Must be willing and able to work within a team-selling environment as well as independently.

Project BIM Coordinator (NBBJ Seattle)

NBBJ Seattle is seeking a studio-based Building Information Modeling (BIM) expert, to lead successful coordination of BIM production and coordination at a project level. Required Technical skills/attributes:
  • Minimum of seven (7) years experience in Architecture.
  • Expert level knowledge of Autodesk’s Revit Architecture.
  • Proven prior experience with large & complex project delivery using Revit.
  • In-depth knowledge of technology based collaboration systems.
  • Proven coordination process experience including working with consultants using multiple platforms.
  • Knowledge/experience with 3D Max or Rhino a plus.
  • Knowledge/experience in Navisworks a plus.
  • Bachelor of Architecture or equivalent degree required.
Required Personal skills/attributes:
  • Ability to work independently, and with minimal supervision.

Role and responsibilities:
  • Participate in BIM set-up, standards and coordination process.
  • Participate in technological collaboration between project team members, client, architect, builder, consultants, subcontractors etc.
  • Facilitate the streamlining of the process of exchange and coordination of the 3D model with consultants and contractor/fabricators.
  • Work directly with Design Technology Team (DT) regarding BIM process standards, technology support and training.
  • Establish early standards for data exchange with entire Project Team to optimize use of the BIM for scheduling, quantity take-off, estimating etc during all stages of the project.
  • Participate in BIM Coordination meetings.
  • Participate in constructability reviews of the BIM.
  • Establish/maintain project files and standards.
  • Develop, discover, collect, and share processes, best practices and techniques.
  • Lead the development of standard detail libraries of blocks, groups, curtainwall, casework, etc.
  • Actively promote advanced and innovative BIM-based methodologies towards integrated practice.

Revit Modeller - Los Angeles

The Summit Group are looking for an in-house draftsperson who is proficient with Autodesk Image Modeler and Revit Architecture for residential remodeling projects.  The objective is to generate as-built 3D Models using 2D digital images and Image Modeler. These are then exported to Revit Architecture for construction documentation.  The ideal person must have residential remodeling background with conceptual and creative experience. Contract Position Wanted: Revit Structure/Architecture

I am currently seeking a position for Revit Structure or Revit Architecture implementation. My past experience includes training and implementation on both software platforms on a national level. The ideal position would allow me to telecommute as much as practical in a flexible and creative work environment.
