The Position Reporting to the Country Manager, the role of the Project Manager is to deliver and administer within budget, such personnel and resources as may be assigned to a particular contract (“the project”) between Olive Group and its Client (“the contract”). Position Responsibilities The responsibilities of the Project Manager are essentially commercial with a primary focus on operational delivery against the scope of works defined by the client. Manpower and asset management, customer relations and financial reporting are the primary activities. The difference between this role and the responsibilities assumed by any commercial manager in any business sector is that in the security services sector the gravity of certain subject matter is considerable and specialist advice may be distant.
Mobilisation of project in line with contract requirements, scope of work and to approved budget.
Early identification of non-compliance with the contract and provision of timely resolution.
Management of resource levels (assets and personnel) to ensure full service delivery to the contract.
Promotion and protection of human rights of assigned subordinates and the general public.
Daily engagement with the Client to ensure that issues arising (to include environmental, political and cost implications) are discussed recorded and resolved.
Support for the Olive Group governance programme and in particular to abide by applicable host state and international laws and relevant standards.
Management of assets held on charge by the project, their maintenance and control.
Responsibility for the health and safety of assigned Olive Group personnel.
Determine, monitor and review project economics, including costs, operational budgets, resourcing requirements, and commercial risk, ensuring that there are appropriate and effective control arrangements, supported by comprehensive reporting mechanisms.
Engagement with relevant stakeholders (including local communities and local authorities in areas of operation) to promote sound relations and to resolve issues arising.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate appropriate commercial experience with an understanding of running a project in a challenging environment and the interpersonal skills and leadership qualities to give inspiration to subordinates and confidence to the Client.
Experience in management of complex commercial projects in challenging environments.
Experience in the administration and control of mobile and static operations in remote and/or high threat environments
Minimum of 5 years as a Project Manager in a related commercial sector (such as construction or oil & gas), or as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer in addition to relevant experience in a high threat environment.
Demonstrable comprehension of risk and the conduct of risk assessment and design of countermeasures and contingency plans.
Quantifiable competency in mathematics and in written English language.
Satisfactory completion of a criminal record check within the last six months.
