Rockford University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in physics starting August 2014. A PhD or ABD in experimental physics required. Combined responsibility for introductory and some advanced level physics is required. Also, teaching some mathematics and/or computer science courses is possible, with the potential to expand the current minor in physics. Strengthening the physics laboratory program is an important task. Prior full-time college teaching experience is highly preferred. Enthusiasm for teaching in a small-university liberal arts setting is essential.
