Exercise SME , Senior - Live Fire/ High Risk Training OCONUS

Location: OCONUS



RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

This position will support a contract providing

individual, collective and strategic training to

counter the full spectrum of asymmetric and

emerging threats.

Conducts high risk explosive training to facilitate

blast analysis of IED components in both

permissive and non-permissive environments.

Conducts high risk explosive training field

exercises for EOD Operators to focus on the

recovery, mitigation, and blast analysis of IED

components and ordnance cache/drug lab

exploitation in both permissive and non-

permissive environments

Conducts research using tools such as SIPR,

periodicals, journals, open source internet, etc., to

identify and interpret evolving threats and

innovations in techniques, tactics, and tools.

Provides student lectures, group discussions, case

studies, and extensive practical exercises

analyzing bombing incidents in a combat

environment.

Provide oversight and feedback to practical

application/ investigations of simulated scenes

created by the detonation of actual explosive

devices.

Conducts inspection of ordnance components

and related items once certified as Inert by EOD

technicians.

Train deploying EOD/Engineer units tactical post-

blast investigation tasks with emphasis on proper

incident reporting, evidence collection and

handling, and proper chain-of-custody

procedures.

Train EOD/Engineer units on proper disruption

techniques, high risk manual breaching and live

fire field training exercises.

Supervises and provides leadership to and

reviews the work of assigned staff.



MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree with 6 years of experience or

years 12 years of equivalent experience.

For EOD/HME: Must be an ATF Certified Explosive

Specialist or graduate of the Navy Explosive

Ordnance Disposal School (NAVSCOLEOD) or the

FBI's Hazardous Devices School.

For small arms training: Must be range safety

officer qualified. Must maintain small arms

qualifications.

Eight years of experience conducting EOD small

arms, HME operations and/or post blast

investigation or similar Law Enforcement

experience.

Must meet minimum physical requirements to

deploy globally.

Has deployed in support of operational missions

within the last 24 months supporting US Forces.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Expertise in one of the following fields: Combat

Arms, Law Enforcement, Intel, EOD, SOF, or

Maritime Security Operations.

Working knowledge of case documentation,

evidence collection and chain of custody

procedures pertaining to post blast or critical

event scenarios

In depth comprehension of the WTI Lexicon.
