Job Role: Core Java Developer
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: Contract (12+ Months)
Requirements:
- Agile/Scrum, ideally having participated in a team following these practices.
- Test Driven Development. JUnit and mocking libraries (e.g., Mockito or JMockit) are a must.
- Principles of Object Oriented programming, interfaces, abstractions, dependencies, etc.
- Core Java & related utilities/libraries, particularly collections, multithreading & queues (java.util.concurrent.* package), JMX (java.management.*), security, XML, JSON, JDBC, Maven, SLF4J & logback.
- Spring Framework, Google Guice, dependency injection, JDBC templates, and support for JMS.
- Distributed applications, load balancing, fail-over, high availability, etc.
- Messaging and JMS. Previous ActiveMQ hands-on experience is a plus, particularly with the use of embedded brokers.
- Relational database modeling; Oracle and PL/SQL programming.
