The Army Field Support Brigade Kuwait Battalion’s (AFSB-KUWAIT) task is to receive, repair, maintain, store, prepare for issue and issue the Army Pre-positioned Stocks (APS-5) in Southwest Asia (SWA); Provide Theater Sustainment Level Maintenance [Direct Support (DS), Limited General Support (GS) and selected Depot Level] support to APS-5, Theater Provided Equipment (TPE), and Army Materiel Command (AMC) RESET/ Refurbishment maintenance programs in SWA; Receive new equipment from Army Program Managers (PMs) designated as TPE, prepare for issue and then issue to units as TPE based on US Army Central Command (CENTCOM) priorities in support of contingency operations (e.g., Operation Spartan Shield/Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF)). The AFSB-KUWAIT will retrograde designated Class (CL) VII to Contiguous United States (CONUS) locations IAW disposition instructions from item managers. The AFSB-KUWAIT may be directed to support other missions involving maintenance, supply and transportation functions.

Summary of Responsibilities:
· Responsible for managing internal security of assigned facilities and Government Property/Materiel stored in all inside and outside areas of the AFSB-KUWAIT geographical footprint
· Ensure all personnel are cleared as specified on DD Form 254 to include all screening required to necessitate the completion of a security clearance in accordance with DOD 5220.22-R and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
· Validate the lock, key, and seal control is IAW paragraphs 3-8 and 5-6 of AR 190-11.
· Providing direction, guidance, leadership and support administratively and operationally to the overall activities and functions of the security department.
· Implementing activities, plans, procedures, policies and strategies related to meeting the goals and objectives of fulfilling the Program's security requirements
· Coordinating, conducting, developing and planning appropriate security training programs but is not limited to compliance with required AT/FP measures as defined by the host or parent commander, participation in AT/FP exercises.
· Prepared to staff and monitor the AFSB-KUWAIT’s security camera monitoring system 24/7.
Provide a solid Physical Security Plan incorporating AR 190-11, AR 190-13, AR 190-51, AR 25-2, and DOD 5100.76M, DOD 5220.22M IAW CDRL 030 requirements
