Job Title: Pastor of Student Ministries

Job Description:
Purpose of Position: To shepherd the Jr. High and High School students in the ministry to be "all in," contagious followers of Jesus Christ, as they are challenged to be complete disciples of Him.

Personal Expecations
The Pastor of Student Ministries should:
*be in the Word on a regular basis for spiritual nourishment
*be in close communication with God through prayer
*be led by God’s Spirit in all matters; at home, in ministry, and in all relationships
*follow the commands of God’s Word such as living justly and loving mercy, tithing, humility in serving others, worshiping alone and with others, etc.
*have a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a passionate, growing, personal relationship with Him;
*have a history of moral purity;
*meet the qualifications for elder (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9);
*be a self-starter with drive, passion and initiative;
*be teachable and willing to be held accountable;
*be a team player with a positive attitude;
*utilization of social media with integrity acting as a godly example to the students.

Job Responsibilities and Duties
1.  Leadership
Cast the 2:42 Vision (Teaching, Fellowship (participation), Community, and Prayer).
Recruit, train, empower and mentor volunteer leaders.

2. Discipleship
Implement an assimilation process that enables students to become passionate, contagious followers of Jesus Christ.
Coordinate and plan the student ministry group curriculum.
Organize and implement teaching during the Sunday School hour.
Attend school functions when appropriate to encourage students and their parents.

3.  Communication
Contact and follow up with new students.
Maintain regular contact with parents.
Communicate weekly with Sr. Pastor Executive Pastor a ministry report

4.   Community
Plan, organize and oversee monthly activities for senior high students.
Organize and plan camps, retreats, local and overseas missions experiences.
Oversee and organize weekly meeting for the students.

5.  Administration
Project and manage an annual ministry budget for the High School Student Ministries department.
Carry out other assignments as directed by the Senior or Executive Pastor

6.  Lead or Participate in a Small Group (2:42 Group)

Job Qualifications
Leadership Skills
This person will have the ability to develop and multiply leaders.  He will be characterized as a servant leader.

Pastoral Skills and Gifts
Must be willing to stand on Biblical principles; have a healthy balance between personal life and ministry;  ministry heart for staff and members of the congregation; close kinship in philosophy with Grace Church and, specifically, with the Senior Pastor.  This person will assist and report to the Senior Pastor and Executive Pastor in the fulfillment of the mission and vision of Grace Church
