Job Description
• Mentor the leadership of the Guinea Government PSD on best practice, processes, and procedures of a professional PSD;
• Assist in establishing a professional PSD;
• Advise on the vetting and selection of potential PSD personnel;
• Advise on the preparation of the Guinea Government PSD Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) manual;
• Advise the Guinean President regarding the professionalism of the Guinea PSD;
• Advise the Guinea Government PSD personnel as to proper defensive driving, lead vehicle, principal’s vehicle, or follow-vehicle Tactics, Techniques and Procedures, (TTPs) whenever required in motorcade or similar operations;
• Advise PSD personnel regarding the TTPs of maintaining protective formation position during the President’s walking movements;
• Advise PSD personnel regarding advance security preparations.
• Advise on the manning of the security post at the President’s residence or manning the Command Post, as required;
• Advise PSD personnel on conducting Threat Vulnerability Assessments (TVA).
• Report via weekly situational report (SITREP) to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
Requirements for the Personal Security Advisor include:
• Prior civilian and/or U.S. military experience serving in a Personal Security Detail;
• Experience training and developing a Personal Security Detail for high-level government officials;
• Experience advising high-level government officials, particularly in a developing country;
• Experience training African Security Forces preferred;
• French language abilities required.
The ability to interact with co-workers and clients face to face and in meeting settings is required.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree
Clearance Requirements: Secret Clearance
