Responsibilities:
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer on our team, you will be responsible for the development of major subassemblies of our next generation DUV wafer inspection tools, and the complete design process, including requirements specification, feasibility studies, analysis and FEA modeling, conceptual and detailed design using ProE, detail drawings, procurement of prototype parts, prototype testing, system integration, and handoff to manufacturing.
Preference will be given to a self-motivated individual capable of planning and driving development projects and ability to lead subsystem teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
1.Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, including design principles, machine elements, materials, fabrication methods.
2.Extensive experience with precision mechanics, mechanisms and preferably opto-mechanical systems.
3.Strong analytical problem solving skills, including thermal and structural, and involving both first order calculations as well as FEA methods.
4.Skilled at designing, building and hands-on testing of complex devices.
5.Proficient with solid CAD, preferably ProEngineer.
6.Experience in several of these areas is desirable: optics, optics alignment, design of semiconductor equipment or similar instruments, vacuum systems, machine tools, motion controls, electronics, lasers, CFD, data acquisition systems such as LabView, measurement instrumentation.
7.Should have analytical skills to consider impact of designs at a system level, and communication skills to interact with other engineering groups.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctorate (Academic) with at least 2 years of experience.
OR
Master's Level Degree with at least 4 years of experience.
OR
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 5 years of experience.
