Security Supervisor

Location: Kandahar, Afghanistan
Job Summary
The Security Supervisor supervises staff and security functions at assigned sites.

Principal Accountabilities
Supervise Biometric Automated Toolset System (BATS) and/or physical security program and staff at assigned sites
Ensure accurate collection of security data, entries into database, and security file maintenance in accordance with government and company guidelines
Disseminate force protection information to workforce and ensure personnel comply with requirements
Conduct security education training and inspections to verify security procedures are implemented, investigate losses and security violations, and recommend corrective actions
Review and analyze Threat/Vulnerability Assessments (TVAs) and security overviews
Articulate security mission and provide written and oral briefings to management and customer
Oversee physical security and property accountability procedures, information security programs, personal security, and basic personal protection escorting missions
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with US and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Military, company workforce, FN Population, and Host Country Military, Police, and Nationals
Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of industrial security laws such as National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
Working knowledge of Joint Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) procedures and practices
Advanced knowledge of interviewing, investigative techniques, and writing reports of security incidents
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, treating others with dignity and respect
Strong organization ability and detail-oriented
Proficient in Microsoft Office software

Experience & Education
Minimum eight (8) years of experience in US military or civilian security and law enforcement operations, physical security, BATS, AT/FP, and/or US military intelligence with at least three (3) years in a leadership role
Experience conducting risk, TVAs, and other force protection planning
Prefer Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in security-related field such as physical security, security management, criminal justice, AT/FP, business, or political science

Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment for extended periods of time during high threat situations and stand for long periods of time
Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions

Travel
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
