A magical place of learning and fun, our goal is to leave visitors with a sense of wonder and respect for nature, and a belief in the need for a sustainable co-existence between wildlife and people. Our dream is to be the best little zoo in the world.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Life Science team as a full time permanent (40 hours per week) Keeper. The successful applicant will be responsible for the daily care of a variety of species and habitats within the Zoo’s animal collection.
To be considered for this opportunity you will need to have:
A National Certificate in Captive Wild Animals or equivalent qualification.
Experience in captive animal keeping and daily husbandry.
Knowledge of behavioural and environmental enrichment techniques.
The ability to work with limited supervision, solve problems and work well in a team environment.
The flexibility to work on a roster that includes weekends and public holidays.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
