Job Requirements

 Requirements :
  • BSc, MSc, PhD or equivalent with 5-10 years experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to adjust communication style to the audience are a must as the job required communicating complex concepts at all levels of the Shell Group from Operators to General Managers
  • Professional knowledge in his/her discipline (e.g. reliability management) in both breadth and depth, complemented by good knowledge of related disciplines
  • Knowledge of reliability, availability, maintainability management and/or process simulation a plus
  • Good interpersonal skills, coaching Shell and third party staff in multicultural environments often at senior organizational levels
  • International experience with leading multicultural organizations is preferred
  • Change Management knowledg

Responsibilities :
Accountable for System Availability & Performance (SA&P) modeling services within project and/or operating asset from beginning to end; customer and stakeholder management, scope definition, program development, planning, organisation, resources, execution, assurance, close out and capturing of lessons learned, as a subject matter expert, coordinate or and/or supervisor in case services are provided by contractor

Key accountability's include:
  • Developing expertise in SA&P Modeling utilizing SPARC, AvSim, MAROS, TARO and related Software
  • Understanding the function of the software from basic principles to enable the modelling of complex systems ranging from individual machinery or instrumentation systems to complete process units, utility systems even complete production/manufacturing sites
  • Understanding differences in alternative approaches for SA&P and offering the most cost effective solution for the required quality
  • Maintaining knowledge of external developments of IT tools and service providers for SA&P
  • Maintaining knowledge and usage of of sources for industry reliability data, e.g. OREDA
  • Lead (for small programs) or participate in (for large, integrated programs) the delivery of SA&P
  • Contributes to technology development in his discipline, adding value to the business
  • Customer engagement at project, asset and OU leadership level, advising and coaching management teams, project, operations, engineering and technical managers
  • Gives expert advice to customers on most complex technological/organisational issues
  • Advises at departmental level
  • Anticipate, stimulate, assess and initiate operational, asset management and HSE developments with impacts to system availability, liaising with other skill groups an major clients and integrating developments in other fields into own activities
  • Define technological requirements for shorter and longer term in own field of expertise in the wider technical and business context and plan accordingly
  • Principal Technical Expert/Subject Matter Expert in own skill area.
