BIM Manager/Coordinator - Kuwait

Projacs International, an International Project Management firm (ranked 12 in ENR listing) based in Kuwait is seeking to fill immediate positions for experienced BIM modelers.

Job Description
  • Managing a team of production professionals of multiple disciplines.
  • Model management and administration ensuring a health BIM database.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Making early decisions on how to break the models and distribute them based on design and construction team needs, geographical location and collaboration requirements.
  • Ensure that modeling is done properly and model sizes are kept to a minimum. Provide Revit Architecture, Structure, and MEP desktop
  • May include other tasks as needed
Requirements
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit products , Autodesk Navisworks as well as 2D CAD and other 3D visualization and simulation applications.
  • Working knowledge of design/construction industry workflow s, production cycles and priorities
  • Sound knowledge of engineering design principles and an understanding of construction methods and processes.
  • Experience with multiple BIM roles (minimum 5 years).
  • Minimum of three (3) BIM projects that involve complex, multiphase , large scale buildings.
  • Professional degree in Architecture or Engineering.

Revit Support Specialist - Canada - Calgary

BlackShire Recruiting Services Inc. is representing the following Canada based opportunities in Calgary.

Position Overview
Working closely with the CAD Manager, this role will be responsible for providing general CAD support to their local team for various design disciplines, including both 2D and 3D work.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Provide and supply technical support for all CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and internal end users
  • Ensure that CAD standards and procedures are properly and consistently followed by end users and PM's
  • Serve as Model manager on small to mid-size Revit projects\Audit AutoCAD projects on the ongoing basis to ensure file quality (eg. Proper let up of layers, user errors, file set up, file recovery, etc.)
  • Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions
  • Assist in training of internal CAD users
  • On the project close up ensure the accuracy and proper archiving of the data
  • Maintain close communication with CAD Manager to ensure that all local office CAD needs are served properly
  • Coordinate auto CAD and Revit work with other disciplines and consultants
  • Maintain knowledge on CAD standards, upgrades, etc.
Minimum Requirements

  • Architectural Technology Diploma/ Architectural CAD Diploma
  • 5+ years experience with drawings and detailing using Auto CAD and 2+ years with Revit
  • Experience assisting others with CAD
  • Technical proficiency in CAD software
  • Experience working on small to medium scale architectural projects
  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible attitude
  • Capacity to teach and support others on CAD

Revit Architecture 2008 Teaching Opportunity - Irvine, CA

Westech has an opportunity for a savy Revit Architecture user who would like to do some teaching.

It is primarily architecture but they also have MEP and Structural loaded on the computers for student use. You must be well versed in Revit software and using it now. The class is at their Irvine location on Saturdays (8am to 4pm). It is a 100 hour, state certified program for 20 students, mostly adults, for 12 weeks.

BIM Specialist - Payette - Boston

Payette is seeking a talented BIM Specialist. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the creation of architectural construction documents using Revit in a production environment. The BIM Specialist must be eager to develop and implement office-wide BIM standards and develop firm best practices. Qualified candidates should have three to six years of experience in an architectural design office and preferably a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Architecture degree.

Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
Enthusiasm for using and implementing Revit on complex commercial projects, as well as expert proficiency with the current release of Revit
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Knowledge of other design applications will be considered a plus (Including VIZ/Max, SketchUp and formZ)
Demonstrated proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and linking DWG files into a Revit model.
