Studio BIM Leader - NBBJ - Ohio

NBBJ Columbus is seeking a studio-based Building Information Model expert to lead successful management of BIM production and coordination at a Studio level with specific project participation. The successful candidate will be an innovative designer with demonstrated leadership skills and ability to conduct meetings at all levels of the project.

Key Responsibilities
The Studio BIM Leader understands the strategic importance of BIM for project delivery, while also being proficient at producing a wide range of work using BIM tools. This person will be the champion of BIM in the Studio for Model strategy, BIM education, BIM leadership. This position will offer the individual opportunities to grow within the firm and exposure to an innovative, fast paced and highly collaborative environment.
Skills and Qualifications (require unless otherwise noted):
  • Minimum 7 years of architecture experience
  • Bachelors of Architecture or equivalent degree required; Masters of Architecture preferred
  • Expert level knowledge of Autodesk's Revit Architecture required
  • In-depth knowledge of technology based collaboration systems
  • Proven prior experience with large & complex project delivery using Revit
  • Proven coordination process experience including working with consultants using multiple platforms
  • Deep knowledge in the Autodesk product range including; Revit Architecture, Revit MEP, Navisworks, 3DSMAX and associated workflows
  • Experience with Autodesk related programming languages a plus
  • Previous experience in the design and delivery of complex healthcare projects preferred
  • Ability to communicate and present ideas clearly to a wide audience - from project team members to external consultants and client representatives
  • Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment

BIM Manager - VSWC Architects - Ohio


VSWC is an established Architectural Firm and they are seeking an experienced BIM Manager to expand their current use of BIM (ArchiCAD), and manage their transition to Revit. Your responsibilities will include hardware and software pertaining to BIM system, establishment of company-wide BIM standards, training of 3-D drafting personnel, and 3-D drafting of large commercial projects.

You must be proficient in BIM systems, particularly Revit. Experience with ArchiCAD is a plus. Experience completing construction documents is also extremely desirable.

BIM System Manager - TriMark SS Kemp - OH

Responsibilities
  • Develop Revit standards implement use of program.
  • Build and maintain Revit family library of foodservice equipment.
  • Work with Architects and in-house Foodservice Equipment Designers to create 3-D models of foodservice equipment spaces in Revit.
  • Produce photo-realistic renderings of modeled spaces and present concepts to customers to assist is selling space and equipment.
  • Participate in MEP Coordination phases of projects when Revit models are required for clash detection.
  • Generate documents/drawings from Revit to submit for construction/bidding purposes.
  • Refine and help to maintain AutoCAD standards for Foodservice Equipment Designers.
  • Obtain field measurements as needed.
  • Attend job meetings as required.
  • Expected to grow capabilities to perform position with greater efficiency annually.
  • Expand knowledge of other jobs within the organization.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner that fosters positive relations with customers, vendors, and internal company personnel
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Skills/Essentials
  • Proficient in Revit, NavisWorks, AutoCAD R2011
  • Extensive knowledge of BIM practices, standards and techniques
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Flexible in schedule to enable the company to meet customer needs – overtime and weekends may be necessary and required
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office products
  • Strong organizational skills

  • Critical thinking and problem solving
Education/Training/Experience
  • College degree in Design, Architecture, Engineering or related discipline
  • Alternatively: Certification from any trade school
  • 3-5 years experience in Revit content development

BIM Coordinator - DesignGroup - Columbus, OH

To support this transformation, we are searching for a BIM Coordinator. The BIM Coordinator will serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Revit Architecture and other digital design tools within our firm. The BIM Coordinator will support the Director of BIM, Architectural and Interior Design Teams on all projects from concept through construction leveraging a BIM workflow to maximize the team’s efficiency and use of the firm’s multiple design technologies. Responsible for content development and maintenance of the Revit Library, and for implementation of Revit Standards within project teams and will be the lead on BIM project work such as BIM conversion projects for owners, contractors and other consultants.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent, 3-5 years experience in design or construction practice with strong understanding of project workflows throughout the design, documentation and construction phases and expert knowledge and proven practical application of Revit Architecture and other BIM related software. Familiarity with additional design applications such as 3D Studio Max, SketchUP, NavisWorks , Ecotect, and Green Building Studio a plus.
