Electrical Revit Detailer - Oregon

CAD-Sourcing is seeking applicants for an Electrical Revit Detailer.

You must have a strong background with the following software:
  • Revit MEP
  • Autocad MEP
  • Navisworks
Responsibilities and qualifications include:
  • 3D modeling of electrical system components such as conduit, cable tray and switchgear
  • 2D drafting of design drawings and as-builts
  • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical systems design and installation
  • Coordination of 3D models and 2D drawings with other trades or design firms
  • Create accurate and detailed field installation drawings and meet the needs of our construction foreman
  • Reading and interpreting electronic and hard copy design documents
  • Previous electrical construction experience or electrical construction drafting experience is a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years BIM experience is required
Compensation:
  • Package includes salary, hotel, and daily expense allowance.
  • Salary is based on experience.
  • Job is 18-24 month contract.

Studio BIM Leader - NBBJ - Ohio

NBBJ Columbus is seeking a studio-based Building Information Model expert to lead successful management of BIM production and coordination at a Studio level with specific project participation. The successful candidate will be an innovative designer with demonstrated leadership skills and ability to conduct meetings at all levels of the project.

Key Responsibilities
The Studio BIM Leader understands the strategic importance of BIM for project delivery, while also being proficient at producing a wide range of work using BIM tools. This person will be the champion of BIM in the Studio for Model strategy, BIM education, BIM leadership. This position will offer the individual opportunities to grow within the firm and exposure to an innovative, fast paced and highly collaborative environment.
Skills and Qualifications (require unless otherwise noted):
  • Minimum 7 years of architecture experience
  • Bachelors of Architecture or equivalent degree required; Masters of Architecture preferred
  • Expert level knowledge of Autodesk's Revit Architecture required
  • In-depth knowledge of technology based collaboration systems
  • Proven prior experience with large & complex project delivery using Revit
  • Proven coordination process experience including working with consultants using multiple platforms
  • Deep knowledge in the Autodesk product range including; Revit Architecture, Revit MEP, Navisworks, 3DSMAX and associated workflows
  • Experience with Autodesk related programming languages a plus
  • Previous experience in the design and delivery of complex healthcare projects preferred
  • Ability to communicate and present ideas clearly to a wide audience - from project team members to external consultants and client representatives
  • Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

An engineering firm near Orlando is looking for a Revit/Autocad operator for MEP and low voltage communication systems. Design experience preferred but not required.

General Description
  • Communicate in an environment with a large Revit multidisciplinary team of Clients, Architects/Engineers, Designers, and drafters all together in one location

Position Summary
The BIM-Revit Coordinator participates in all project teams providing technical BIM-Revit support, modeling, families, training and trouble shooting. With direction from our BIM super-users team, the BIM-Revit coordinator will help implement and oversee a strong and supportive Revit environment.

Director of Sales and Business Development - Project Outsourcing - BIM/CAD

An architectural, visualization and engineering support company that specializes in producing projects as a service (BIM & CAD) is looking for a person to represent them and their services in the USA.

Overview
The Head of Sales and Business Development (BD) drives billings growth by developing relationships with new clients while nurturing the relationship with our existing clients.

As a “marketplace expert” the HBPR identifies opportunities and makes them happen based on an understanding of construction industry trends as well as client and competitive insights. He/she is expected to provide strong input on pricing, services and promotional initiatives.

Directing business partnerships is a client-centric role. It leads the entire relationship development process to create a compelling business solution for our client, identifying their needs and demonstrating how our organization can address them.

You will work closely with our Heads of Operations to align direction, plan resource allocation and coordinate client communication. You'll provide input on marketing, communications and the presentation of our brand to the world. You are responsible for the Return on Investment of resources allocated to BD and marketing initiatives.

Role description

New Client Generation (50% of the time)

  • Identify target clients.
  • Generate leads by connecting with network of contacts, seeking recommendations from existing clients, participating in industry events, etc.
  • Convert leads into clients. This involves identifying their needs and presenting a compelling case for how we can help meet them to secure project work. You work closely with Operations along the process.
  • Lead the preparation of proposals and negotiation with clients, working closely with Head of Operations for it. Collaborate with Operations on the initial project kickoff. Identify pricing ranges for projects taking into account client costs and competitive price levels.
  • Maximize ROI on lead-related spend.
  • Own and maintain CRM system; generate reports and analysis as needed; periodically update Operations and Executive teams.
  • Continually update operations on industry trends, client and competitive insights.
  • Generate BPR Plan and billing projections as input for Studio Business Plan and report results to management monthly.

Existing Client Growth (40% of the time)

  • Maximize billings with existing clients by periodically connecting with them to gain insights into how the relationship is progressing and to identify opportunities to expand our services.
  • Increase the value of our on-site architects as ambassadors of our studio to expand opportunities into new projects and teams.
  • Support Operations with coordination of Business Trips and Exchange Programs to facilitate the process internally and with clients.
  • Generate BPR Plan and billing projections as input for Studio Business Plan; report results to management monthly.
  • Document and update BPR Best Practices document.
  • Own and maintain CRM records and report to the team.
  • Maximize ROI on BPR client maintenance spend.

Marketing (10% time)
Provide input on design of marketing tools including website, printed materials and presentations.

Revit Electrical and Plumbing Designers - HOK - Texas

The HOK Texas Region has two openings in the Houston office. One for a Electrical Engineering Designer and another for a Plumbing Engineering Designer. Both positions require extensive knowledge of Revit and will support their respective groups with designing and documentation in Revit. Naturally previous experience using Revit is required and previous experience working in a design build firm is preferred.

The Electrical Designer will develop, modify and review Revit models of electrical engineering systems and components according to established standards and Revit modeling techniques, based on input from the electrical engineering team. The Plumbing Designer develops, modifies and reviews Revit models of plumbing systems and components according to established standards and Revit modeling techniques, based on input from the engineering team. Both positions create project drawings from the Revit model.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs elementary engineering assignments and works from designs of others utilizing REVIT and AutoCAD.
  • Develops, modifies and/or reviews drawings of electrical, mechanical or plumbing systems and components.
  • Organizes and maintains documents for specific projects.
  • Works closely with project team and assists to complete projects on aggressive schedules.
  • Incorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
  • Personal accountability for quality and quantity of work.
Required Skills
  • Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Basic knowledge of building regulations and safety codes.
  • Basic knowledge of design techniques and tools involved in production of technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Basic knowledge about sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines.
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for BIM standards development, implementation, and conformance.
  • Manage software products including, but not limited to, incorporating new version releases and customization of BIM and supporting software for BIM.
  • Identify trends and business opportunities relating to BIM. Evaluate and make recommendations regarding BIM software.
  • Communicate with subcontractors to receive, coordinate and update all electronic models.
  • Create and maintain software template files to assure standards.
  • Assist in developing and implementing BIM documentation and workflow process standards.
  • Train and oversee the day-to-day activities of the Project BIM Coordinators to ensure BIM standards are maintained in the creation of the architectural BIM model.

Qualifications
  • Degree in architecture or related field required.
  • Must have five or more years production experience in design, drafting, or engineering.
  • Must have five or more years experience in Revit.
  • In-depth working knowledge of current BIM versions with emphasis on project sheet set up.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
