Security Specialist - Kinshasa DRC

Qualifications of Successful Candidate

1.Education:

Advanced University Degree (Masters Degree or

Equivalent), preferably in social sciences,

management, or a related security field, or formal

multi-year education in Security Management,

such as military or police senior Command and

Staff College (minimum 9 years full time)

qualification with command experience at senior

level or diplomatic services.

Formal training in security risk management is

an asset

A first university degree with a relevant

combination of academic qualifications and

experience may be accepted in lieu of advanced

university degree.





2.Work Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of relevant security and

development related experience

Previous experience of working in a conflict/

post-conflict or crisis environment is an asset.

In-depth knowledge of security management

and risk management.

Knowledge of UNICEF business, operations and

programming cycle.

3.Language Proficiency:

Fluency in written and spoken French and

English is required.
