Reference/Bibliographic Instruction Librarian - Housatonic Community College, Bridgeport, has an immediate opening for temporary, part-time (15 hours a week) Librarian. A Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited program is required. Candidate should have reference experience which includes knowledge of electronic (databases and internet) and print resources; solid reference skills; good communication and interpersonal skills; and the ability to establish a professional and respectful relationship with a highly diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and public. Teaching experience with library instruction or other forms of teaching is a plus. Principal responsibility of the position is providing reference assistance to students. Bibliographic instruction may be assigned. Other library responsibilities will be assigned as needed. Some evening and/or weekend hours may be required. Salary: $31.37 per hour, with limited benefits.
