The Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) Division provides industry leading metrology solutions for worldwide semiconductor IC manufacturers. The FaST Division portfolio of metrology products includes hardware and software solutions for optical film thickness, optical critical dimension (CD), composition, and resistivity measurement systems. These products are essential for the IC manufacturers as they provide critical metrology capabilities for the development and implementation of their advanced IC processes. The FaST division is committed to support our customers to achieve performance entitlement of our solution and we effectively partner with our customers from their early research and development phase to the high volume in-line manufacturing implementation specific for their process needs. The division consists of a global team located in US, Israel, China, and India.
Responsibilities:
KLA-Tencor has an opening for an Applications Development Engineer in our Patterning Solutions Group. This engineer will be responsible for identifying, developing and implementing lithography process monitoring improvements and lithography process control solutions. Hands-on work with KLA-Tencor metrology systems and software will be required. Work in cross-functional teams (including applications engineers, systems engineers, and software and algorithm engineers) to develop and implement new solutions. Work with customer team at customer sites to conduct investigations, gather and analyze data, understand root causes of lithography patterning errors, and develop and implement lithography process control solutions to reduce patterning errors and improve yield. Communicate with customers at engineering, management, and senior management levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
Lithography process engineer or Litho application engineer or Litho system development engineer with recent experience in product wafer alignment, overlay, or critical dimension challenges. Background in state-of-the-art fab Litho module process development and process characterization including process monitoring and yield improvements. Experience with transferring process to volume manufacturing.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 10 years of experience.
OR
Master's Level Degree with at least 8 years of experience.
OR
Doctorate (Academic) with at least 6 years of experience.
