Position Description	PHYSICS DEPARTMENT, TENURE TRACK FACULTY POSITIONS. Full-time, academic year, tenure track at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, CA, beginning 9/15/14. Primary duties and responsibilities are to teach undergraduate physics or astronomy and to maintain an active professional development program that provides research experiences for undergraduates.
Minimum Qualifications (Staff Only)
Required Qualifications / Specialized Skills	A Ph.D. in physics or related field is required and must be completed prior to start of appointment. Must provide evidence of (or potential for) high quality teaching.

Department Information (Faculty)	The Physics Department has some 37 faculty, whose primary function is teaching undergraduate physics courses to students in technical disciplines. We offer programs of study leading to Bachelor of Science and Arts Degrees in Physics, with approximately 160 majors currently enrolled. We also offer minors in astronomy and geology and courses in astronomy, geology, geophysics and oceanography.
