EMT , Africa

PAE is currently seeking an Emergency Medical

Technician Lead to support stability operations

in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.



The EMT Lead is a member of the Airport

Emergency Crash & Rescue Services crew or

shift. The candidate will provide Intermediate Life

Support (ILS) treatment during all emergencies

and standby duties in order to minimize the loss

of life and damage to United Nations Property in

the event of an incident/accident. Conduct

theoretical and practical training sessions in

accordance with local capacity building. Perform

triage at aviation emergencies. Complete Inspect

and ensure that the ambulance and equipment

are operationally checked before the first aircraft

movement daily. Participate in physical exercise

training sessions.



Qualifications:

The EMT Lead must have 08 years'

experience as an EMT

Certified in ILS (Intermediate Life Support),

AED (Automated External Defibrillator), and

ECG (Electro Cardio Gram)

The candidate must be in possession of a valid

professional license as EMT and be a

registered member of the medical council in

his /her Country of Origin

Good oral and communication skills in English

Valid driver's License with a minimum of TWO

years driving experience.

In possession of an ACLS (Advanced cardio life

support) certificate will be an advantage

Knowledge of French will be an advantage

Good computer skills (Microsoft Word and

Excel)

Must be able to work in austere conditions in

Africa

Must be able to obtain customer license and/

or local driver's license

Must be willing and able to drive/operate

vehicles in the DRC
