ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, TENURE-TRACK

We are looking for a dynamic faculty member eager to teach, mentor, and advise the next generation of teachers. Candidates must have an earned doctorate in science education or related field with evidence of coursework in science education (ABD considered). Experience teaching science to middle and/or secondary students is required; teaching experience in diverse schools is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with campus-based and school-based colleagues is important. A record of scholarly work, active participation in professional organizations, interest in environmental education, and experience supervising field and clinical experiences are preferred. Responsibilities include: teaching undergraduate and graduate courses both on campus and online; supervising field and clinical experiences; engaging in scholarly activity; assisting with academic advising; providing service to the department, college, university, and profession; supporting and participating in the outreach activities of NKU's Program of Distinction, CINSAM, the Center for Integrative Natural Sciences and Mathematics (http://cinsam.nku.edu/), through course teaching, trainings, and programs for P-12 students. The position is tenure track, nine months, with possible summer employment opportunities.
