Program Manager

Employer: Swiss Foundation for Mine Action

The Program Manager is the most senior FSD representative in any country where FSD is running one or several mine action projects. Reporting to and in close relation with the Head of Operations, he/she has the overall accountability for all aspects of the projects in a country.That includes project implementation, project and financial reporting to Headquarters, management of budgets, accounts and cash, material and human resources, productivity and compliance, donor relations and fundraising at country level, writing of project proposals, risk and safety management, security and relations with the national authorities and other stakeholders. We require the candidates to have:

O at least 5 years work experience in international humanitarian and/or commercial projects

O at least three years recent experience in senior HQ or field management positions

O technical training in landmine/UXO removal or ammunition management is a distinct advantage

O proven record in administrative and financial management of multi-donor projects

O tertiary education or equivalent (senior command / staff college course)

O good negociation, communication and external relations skills

O leadership and experience of interacting in multi-cultural environments

O excellent command of English oral and drafting skills; knowledge of additional languages, in particular French, is a distinct advantage.

O fully conversant with Office Tools and email
