Performs all or part of the software development life cycle, ranging from user analysis, design, and development to implementation and support of the User Interface layers to business applications. Development includes front-end applications.

Experienced Sr. Java Developer needed to assist with EARP 2013 platform enhancements to allow the system to accommodate deliverables for Value Based Care, EARP Segment 2, and NGEN/Exchanges.

With the addition of new use cases that will utilize the EARP platform, it is important that the foundational components of the system are implemented and that the system is appropriately scaled.

Required Skills:

  • Spring MVC framework
  • Understanding of distributed platform infrastructure and architecture
  • Experience in performance tuning and scalability of internal and vendor applications
  • Experience with applications using Java, Websphere, and DB2
  • Experience in technology integration
  • Experience using third-party add-ons and/or add-on development
  • Deep knowledge of object oriented programming concepts and software development life cycle

Preferred Skills:

  • Recent experience with Springboard 4 integration with Maven
  • Background/hands on experience with Java, Spring, Hibernate development
  • Background using SAS or IBM JRules
  • Background in UNIX scripting

Responsibilities to include:

  • Implement data movement process which will aid in pre-prod testing, performance testing, and issue triage for the EARP system.
  • Build-out of new DEV environments for the EARP system to accommodate multiple concurrent workstreams and component testing.
  • Assist with DCC/ICC process to accommodate infrastructure changes needed by the new use cases.
  • Assist in the triage and issue resolution of PROD and Non-PROD support activities that could impact the 2013 deliverables.
  • Defect resolution and minor enhancement development to support the 2013 deliverables.
  • Establish and implement new tooling and automation that will streamline processes used in the EARP platform.
  • Setup monitoring tools for the Production EARP environment for proactive response.
  • Work on a backlog issues that affect EARP platform stability.
  • Assist with performance tuning and scalability.
