Guard Force Commander (GFC)

Role & Responsibilities:
The Primary role the Guard Force Commander is to ensure that the project Guard Force is posted, fully trained and, briefed 24/7.Previous experience in Iraq is essential.
Carry out all duties in support of the client.
Liaises with and reports directly to the Gulf Shield Static Operations Manager on a daily basis.
Primarily responsible for understanding all Gulf Shield Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the operational parameters in which the team operate.
Fully conversant with the Project CONOP and the methodology employed by Gulf Shield in executing their operational duties.
Plans and executes Static guard force duties as directed by the Operations Manager.
Reports all disciplinary and security related issues to the Operations Manager.
Responsible for ensuring all issued equipment is working and serviceable.
Responsible for reporting all incidents and accidents that occur during to the Operations Manager.
Responsible for updating and providing weekly check sheets to the Operations Manager.
Maintain an acceptable level of physical fitness.


Remuneration:
Rate of Pay: USD 300 per day (net)
Probation Period: 28 Days
Resignation Notice: 28 days
Restrictive Covenant: Three months from date of leaving
Travel/Flights: 4 paid flights per year.
Rotational Commitment: 6 weeks in country and 6 weeks leave. All rotations are subject to change with regards to operational commitments. All leave rotations amendments to be confirmed by the Project Manager.
Insurance: Provided by the employer

Professional Accountabilities:
Ensure the security of the site at all times.
Ensure that the static guard force is up to the standard required to keep all personnel on project safe.


Key Performance Indicators:
Ability to conduct daily operations in accordance with the clients request while ensuring that safety and security is not compromised at any time.


Essential Requirements & Qualifications:
SIA CP licence
Recent CRB (3 months)
FPOS (I)
Qualified to handle weapons
Full driving license
Close Protection qualification
Military training background
Ability to pass a British Army Infantry fitness assessment

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years military service
Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial security
Operational experience in Iraq/Afghanistan

Professional Certifications:
SIA license (CP)

Other Requirements
In-date Iraqi MEV essential

Summary:
The main job specific of the Guard Force Commander is to command the guard force and act as a link between the Guard Force and the Project Management team; he can also be tasked with any other work that the line management may deem to be essential.
