FT in Science/STEM Ed at St. Catherine U, St. Paul MN

St. Catherine University in St. Paul/Minneapolis is a comprehensive Catholic university with the nation’s largest college for women at its center. St. Catherine University Department of Education invites applicants for a full time ranked faculty position beginning August 2013. Rank and salary are commensurate with education and experience.

Responsibilities:  Teach courses in elementary science, co-teach STEM courses, and online action research courses; advise students at the graduate and undergraduate level; participate in departmental activities as assigned and as appropriate.

Requirements: The qualified candidate must have an earned Master’s degree in education or a science discipline. Also required is significant work beyond the master’s degree, a strong background in science, minimum of 5 years of elementary classroom teaching (with a science focus), and the ability to work on a team. A current teaching license is required, or one previously held. Preferred qualifications include college/university teaching experience, experience at both the elementary and secondary levels, demonstrated scholarship and experience working with diverse populations.
