Purpose of Role: The Armourer is responsible the accountability and protection of firearms, munitions and to maintain an inspection register of all related assets. Your main responsibilities will be:
Maintains weapons and weapon register for all deployed Olive Group personnel.
Perform only authorized maintenance.
Conducts all cleaning, repair and maintenance in accordance with Country Standard Operating Procedures.
Responsible for the installation of special technical equipment to weapons to include optical devices when instructed to do so.
As an Olive Group member of the team you will execute the responsibilities in accordance with the lawful and ethical standards as referenced in the Olive Group Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.
To be successful in this role you will need:
Previous experience in a similar role with the ability to adapt to an expanding organisation.
Experience in the Armed Forces and hazardous environments.
Maintains weapons qualification and certificates as outlined in the contract.
Be able to demonstrate technical knowledge of weapon repair / maintenance principles, methods, and procedures.
Ability to function effectively in a high risk, fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
