The Saint Olaf College Physics Department is seeking to fill a Visiting Assistant Professor position for the second semester of 2013-14.
Primary Responsibilities: Teach a combination of introductory lecture and laboratory courses in physics (Principles of Physics II (E&M) and the General Education course “Origins of Nuclear Weapons”) with a load of 3 course-equivalents for spring term of 2013-14.
Qualifications: Ph. D. in physics (or in a closely related field with a strong physics foundation) and demonstrated potential for high-quality undergraduate classroom and laboratory teaching in a residential liberal arts college setting. Strong candidates nearing completion of the Ph. D. may also be considered.
