Job Summary
The Personal Security Transport member is responsible for Afghanistan based mobile and static security operations under the direction of the Security Lead. PST Member performs and maintains a high level of professionalism and skill levels as he/she is responsible for the personal protection of DI-CNGS personnel, visiting DynCorp personnel and all other principles designated by the Program Management Office.
The PST Member assists as required in the education and enforcement of security policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure a high standard of mission accomplishment.
Principal Accountabilities
Responsible for the safe operation of all assigned protective transportation of principles to ensure their safety, including mobile, air and static missions.
Utilize special weapons and tactics to ensure a high level of mission success.
Conducts protective formation positions daily.
Conducts advanced security reconnaissance of projected routes.
Conducts static security assignments when directed.
Continuous training and development to ensure and maintain a high level of expertise and professionalism.
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures throughout Afghanistan by DynCorp personnel.
Provides deterrence against the commission of wrongful and unsafe acts, unauthorized and / or illegal activities, including potentially life threatening activities and protection of information.
Ensures proper use, maintenance, accountability and care of all company issued equipment.
Presents a clean and professional appearance.
Efficient in performing all positions within the team while on missions including driving, SAW gunner, and shooter and when required shift lead.
Maintaining comprehensive records of all mission assignments.
Knowledge & Skills
Previous U.S. Government agency security clearance within the last 15 years Excellent communication with persons at all levels.
In-depth knowledge of DI PSD/CP security policies and SOP.
Ability to communicate in the English language.
May be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions and rudimentary infrastructure.
Ability to conduct both static and mobile PST operations.
Technical and tactical proficiency with the various small arms used in support of operations.
Ability to operate motor vehicles of various weights and size in a tactical manner both on and off-road.
Superior level of physical fitness which allows for standing for extended periods, running with tactical equipment and pulling/carrying an excess of 180 lbs.
Experience & Education
Candidate must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimal two (2) years experience in the Afghanistan AOR (Preferably in a PSD or PST capacity).
Candidate should at a minimum possess a period of five (5) years military and/or law enforcement experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport and/or obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Prepared to work on a daily basis in extreme harsh conditions and a hostile environment.
Travel
Travel to DynCorp International sites within Afghanistan on a regular basis.
