Designer

Strut is looking for another designer help us craft communications, from ads to apps:

You're a killer designer and a bit of a creative generalist.

You understand how to tell a story visually.

You know how to structure information.

You know how to make pretty pictures.

You've designed at least one of everything, from an ad to an app, and want to help invent the next big thing.

You can think in 4 dimensions.

In a meeting you can convince someone your idea is right using only a paper clip, a stick of gum, and your big brain.

You can be convinced your idea is wrong, and are happy to spend days or weeks working hard to realize another person's vision.

You like free parking.

You can lay out an annual report that would make Warren Buffet forget to look at the bottom line, but in your heart you know print is dead.

You've never heard of us, but are impressed that we're a team of 25 communications professionals creating brands, campaigns, websites and mobile apps for A-list clients.

You can properly kern a headline that you wrote yourself. (We have writers for that, but still -- if you can't dream up a headline that would impress a copywriter, we just don't want you).

Whether you're designing for print or web, you start on paper.

You can hand someone your production-ready art file, and be proud of the way you've named each and every layer like they were your children.

You know the story of the oak beams at New College, Oxford and know exactly how it's relevant to what we do.

You can crank out a smart ad in an afternoon, or you can noodle for days on a complicated set of web page templates.

You curse Creative Suite, but know 12 ways to build a mask in Photoshop.

You like foosball and barbecue.

You like buying Creative Directors coffee: russ.bugera@strutcreative.com

(Bonus points: You also know a killer developer or two, and you'd like to bring them with you when you come aboard.)
