Responsibilities:
PAE is currently seeking an Instructor/Mentor to support capacity building efforts in South Sudan. The Instructor/Mentor will provide instruction and mentorship in leadership and officer professional development. The Instructor/Mentor will provide mentorship to SPLA JCSOS instructors, assist/write/update the Program of Instruction (POI), courseware and lesson plans with heavy emphasis on assisting in developing the SPLA instructors’ capacity to do these tasks in managing the POI.

Qualifications:
The Instructor/Mentor requires a unique blend of skills, experience, and knowledge to accomplish the goals and tasks of the Program. Successful candidates will possess:
A minimum of 5 years military operations and training experience (or civilian equivalent) is required.
Expert level knowledge in Combat Arms, Combat Service, or Combat Service Support Occupational Specialty, Branch, or Functional Area
Staff experience at battalion, brigade, or Special Forces B Team level (or civilian equivalent) is required.
A minimum of three to five years of increasingly responsible experience with standard military training concepts, practices, and procedures.
Willingness and ability to live and work in remote and austere field environments is required
Ability to pass a pre-employment screening process to include background check and drug screen is required.
Prior experience in working with post-conflict capacity building operations is preferred.
Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to completion of college course work leading to an advanced degree, preferred.
Experience operating in hardship conditions is preferred.
