Job Introduction:
The Risk Advisory and Consulting section of the business are seeking a Consultant to provide a comprehensive service to existing clients developing sustainable relationships, together with marketing and supporting new opportunities within the market.

Role Responsibility:
Their tasks are, but not limited to, the following outline of the Scope of Service.

a. Reporting to the Manager of the SSSD, the Consultants shall advise and coordinate security management activities in accordance with OSSC’s existing Security documents. Although primarily based at the Head Office in an Advisory role, the Consultants should anticipate being deployed from time to time in an Instructor / Mentoring role to specific KPC sites.

b. Acting as facilitator the Consultants shall review all the Security Gap analysis documents within an initial period of two months and shall recommend the priorities and identify any “quick wins” for filling these Security Gaps. This review will encompass KPC & all subsidiary companies. The Consultants shall list all remaining Security Gaps and submit for OSSC’s approval a proposed plan of action for filling these Gaps. The Consultants shall be part of the liaison between OSSC and KPC & its Subsidiaries in respect of all security projects and security related issues.

c. The Consultants shall keep themselves updated with emerging international best practice relating to security and the international standards for the security industry. Using such knowledge, the Consultants shall advise SSSD how to achieve these international security best practices.

d. The Consultants shall assist SSSD with any remaining migration processes for security services from the KPC Subsidiaries to OSSC based upon the SLAs. The Consultants are to review the SLAs, be a part of the negotiation between OSSC and the migrating KPC Subsidiaries, review the scope of work, and recommend changes to the SLA document if necessary to reflect best practice. Roll out of the SLAs will be throughout the contract period.

e. The Consultants shall be required to act as mentors in order for OSSC to assume all the obligations under the signed SLAs. The consultant representatives shall visit KPC and all its Subsidiaries which have already migrated to OSSC and review, monitor and audit the implementation of the obligations under the SLAs. The Consultants shall make & execute a plan to implement the remaining obligations as per SLA, throughout the contract period.

f. The Consultants, in close coordination with OSSC SSSD Operations Division, shall review and supervise the deployment and distribution of the Security Manpower; where deemed necessary, the Consultants shall make recommendations and shall submit a recommended course of action to the OSSC Team Leader Operation (Security).

g. Working in conjunction with the OSSC HR department the Consultants shall act as facilitator for security training related issues.

h. Carry out any other security management consultancy assignment as and when required by the Company.


The Ideal Candidate:

Qualifications & Experience.

a. Graduate degree preferably in Engineering or Security related discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.

b. Fifteen years experience in the security field; including knowledge of threat evaluation, risk assessment, infrastructure protection, counter terrorism, crisis management planning, security planning, facility security plans, emergency response & preparedness, Marine security & ISPS Codes, and security technical standards.

c. Project management qualification and experience on security projects desirable.

d. Excellent written and spoken English.

e. Computer literate using mainly MS Windows and MS Office applications.

f. Experience of working and living in an Arab country and some knowledge of Arabic desirable.

g. Membership of accredited security professional organisation desirable.

h. Experience of Oil & Gas industry desirable.
