Assistant Security Manager, Hong Kong

Role Summary:
Reporting to the Regional Security Manager Asia, based in Hong Kong in order to support the delivery of safe and effective operations across Asia. The role holder will primarily support the assessment of security risks involved in Christie’s operational activity at all sites across the Asian and pacific region and the delivery of proportionate security solutions which are consistent with the values and business aims of Christie’s. The priorities will be to support the provision of a safe and secure environment for Christie’s staff, clients, properties under our control and members of the public within our premises and at temporary locations.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY:(Essential Job Functions)
(Duties include but are not limited to the following):
•Conduct risk assessments and regular security surveys at Christie’s operating locations as directed by the regional security manager.
•Conduct audits into services provided by third party security contractors
•Support requests for security advice and risk assess hand carry requests.
•Conduct occasional hand carries where third party security support cannot be provided.
•Complete all administration required by the regional security manager and local operations team to support accountability and compliance with Christie’s policies.
•Support the network of single points of contact (SPOCs) across the region and cascade training in safety, security and business continuity to promote security awareness and raise awareness of individuals’ responsibilities for protecting themselves, their colleagues, clients, property and the Christie’s reputation and brand.
•Liaise with local law enforcement agencies as directed by the regional security manager.
•Undertake tasks as directed by the Regional Security Manager
•Supervise events, exhibitions and sales across the Region.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRMENT:
•Crime prevention awareness and experience
•Working knowledge of CCTV, access control, intruder alarm and fire prevention systems.
•Good communication skills and languages to include English, Cantonese, Mandarin
•Risk assessment experience
•Computer literate and administration experience
•Security management and /or law enforcement experience
•Experience of working in or with a commercial organisation
•Commitment to delivering the highest standards of service
•Excellent ability to interact and work in a team
•Able to manage stressful and demanding situations
