The incumbent facilitates cross-functional participation and collaboration internally and with external vendors to achieve maximum positive impact in positioning the AMA brand, products, services and initiatives. Applies both proven and innovative communications and marketing expertise to ensure every project enhances the overall positioning and strategic direction of the AMA. Essential Functions/Responsibilities:1. As assigned, develops and oversees events and material production projects/programs and ensures projects/ programs are carefully guided end-to-end to deliver impactful, integrated, on-time, on-budget programs/initiatives following the ECM approach to project initiation, delivery, follow-through and results measurement. (50%) 2. Responsible for event logistics and materials production that meet creative specifications and brand standards including design, production and print/manufacturing; identifying most appropriate product specifications; gathering quotes/estimates; serving as the main point of contact and relationship manager for vendors including printers, videographers, mail fulfillment houses and other suppliers as needed. (25%) 3. Directs, in close coordination with Brand Strategy, the overall branding of highly visible events such as the AMA’s Annual, Interim, State Legislative and NAC meetings to ensure the AMA brand is appropriately represented. This includes working closely with the AMA Meeting Services staff, hotel staff and event marketing organizations to bring to life the AMA brand at any and all venues. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related discipline and at least 10 years’ experience as a people, project, and/or production manager in integrated marketing communications or related; (master’s preferred). 2. Proven ability to project manage/facilitate production of memorable events and materials that capture the imagination of stakeholders and entice them to seek further engagement with the AMA. 3. Proven ability to manage multiple programs and projects with competing deadlines with the full command and authority necessary to provide clients and stakeholders confidence that the expected outcome will be achieved. 4. Exceptional customer/client service skills, including proven ability to develop and maintain business relationships both internally and externally. 5. Exceptional logic, reasoning and problem-solving skills. 6. Excellent written and oral communication skills. 7. Excellent teamwork skills. Able to facilitate a collaborative productive environment for each project which would include collaboration with management, internal experts and external partners to build relationships and achieve consensus with grace under pressure. 8. Demonstrated experience in using data to inform communciations and marketing strategies and brand positioning. 9. Solid understanding of promotional tools across all media including print, broadcast, electronic and direct mail. 10. Capacity to formulate creative briefs to help guide creative process; exceptional analytic and problem-solving skills. 11. Proven success in managing and prioritizing multiple, complex tasks and responsibilities. 12. Demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new concepts and strategies in project mangement and marketing. Prepared: March 2013
