Responsibilities:
This position will lead the hardware engineering team in the development and release of our next generation wafer inspection tool. The selected engineer will have dotted line responsibility for 30-40 engineers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensure;
1.Product is delivered on time
2.Product meets its performance goals
3.Product meets its RPC target
4.Product meets our service organization's requirements
5.Product meets our manufacturing organization's requirements.
The candidate is expected to lead the systems engineering team.
As the principal systems design engineer, you will be actively engaged in system-level engineering of our next generation high-speed patterned wafer inspection tools. Some of the activities include:
1.Model system operation and define subsystem performance specifications
2.Develop subsystem architectures and collaborate with mechanical, optical, electrical and software engineers to realize these subsystems.
3.Integrate and test subsystems and validate system performance
4.Specify and test new or improved hardware components and software features.
5.Identify and resolve problems and recommend improvements relating to system optics, electronics, software, and mechanics.
6.Develop and improve diagnostic and calibration procedures.
7.Investigate abnormal system behaviors by performing experiments and analyzing system data.
8.Support manufacturing and field personnel with troubleshooting help in the form of plans of action or hands-on assistance.
9.Conducts feasibility studies on engineering proposals and related technical data for new equipment or modification to existing equipment.
Preferred Experience:
1.The candidate should have a knowledge of optics, electronics, software, and/or mechanical systems. Programming skills/experience are a definitely plus. 2.Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and to take on a leadership role when needed is desired.
3.The candidate should have a quick grasp of challenging, complex technical information and be able to travel both domestically and internationally.
4.He or she must have hands-on experience in designing, building, and/or troubleshooting complex instruments such as experimental research instruments, medical systems or semiconductor capital equipment.
5.The candidate must have strong analytical skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills
Basic Qualification:
Candidate must have the following education Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 10 years of experience
OR
Master's Level Degree with at least 8 years of experience.
OR
Doctorate (Academic) with at least 7 years of experience in Physics, Electronics, Optics, or related technical field.
