We are going through an exciting period of change as this zoo develops and so are looking for dynamic, knowledgeable individuals to help move the teams forward.
We have a vacancy for a keeper on the Bird section. The section manages all our bird species including penguins, parrots, waterfowl, cranes and also a small range of other species. We are seeking an enthusiastic, high performing individual with an interest in zoo animal management. You must be committed to continued professional development, be a good team worker and have strong communication skills. Some zoo keeping experience and an animal-related qualification, such as the BIAZA approved ANCMZA or DZMAA, would be advantageous.
The role is part-time basis working 10 days out of 21, working on average 28 hours per week, including weekend duties on a rota system. Salary is paid monthly and we provide uniform, 21 days holiday, 5% employer’s pension contribution.
