Children's Room Librarian / Assistant Library Director - Plainville Public Library. Energetic, creative librarian needed for busy suburban Hartford County Public Library. Supervises children's room staff of three. Creates children's programming, school visits, and story hours. Assists Library Director in general management including scheduling, personnel, and budgeting. Requirements: MLS and professional library experience with children. Needs excellent interpersonal, patron, and computer skills. Thirty-five hour work week includes rotating Saturdays and evenings. Medical insurance, sick leave, and vacation benefits. Annual salary range of $53,000 to $55,000. Hiring process will remain open until the position is filled. The Plainville Public Library serves a population of 17,000.
