Legislative Correspondent – Conservative House Member Office is seeking a qualified, capable, and conservative individual to fill an open Legislative Correspondent position. Applicants must possess exceptional research, writing, and interpersonal skills, and must be able to manage an above average number of incoming mail pieces. Familiarity with the legislative process is essential. Some general administrative tasks and duties will be required. Applicants must also be able to balance the mail operation while lending some support to legislative staff and communications team. Internships – A Republican Congressman from Florida is seeking a full or part time unpaid Interns for the Fall. The position begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of December. Interns will often act as a direct liaison between the Member and constituents, so a professional and friendly attitude is a must. Tasks include collecting, organizing, and processing data; designing, creating, and producing electronic and hard copy graphs, tables, and charts; using desktop publishing techniques to improve Committee documents; supporting communications experts in outreach efforts using new media such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and other digital communications channels. Thorough knowledge of spreadsheets, graphics, and video editing software necessary. Knowledge of federal budget concepts and/or the state of Alabama a plus.
